two parents and six children survival had become a daily battle. After losing their home to rising rent and a string of bad luck, they found temporary shelter at a hotel in Orlando. It wasn’t much, but it was supposed to keep a roof over their heads.

Then, overnight, everything fell apart again.

The hotel, which had promised stability and shelter, abruptly shut down. Not only did it leave the family and dozens of others out on the street it also took their remaining savings. No refunds. No warning. Just locked doors and silence.

With nowhere to go, this family found themselves on the edge again, tired, scared, and out of options. But just when it seemed like all hope was lost, two lifelines appeared: the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida and Core Housing of Central Florida.

These organizations didn’t just offer sympathy they offered action.

The Coalition stepped in first, providing immediate financial and essential support. Then, Core Housing came forward with something even more life-changing: a pathway to permanent housing. Not just a place to stay, but a real home one where the kids could have their own beds, meals could be made in a real kitchen, and dreams could start to grow again.

Today, this amazing family is thriving. What was once just a desperate wish a safe, stable home is now their everyday reality. Thanks to the compassion and dedication of two organizations who believe that everyone deserves a place to call home, they have found theirs.

This is more than a story of hardship it's a story of hope, community, and what happens when people come together to lift others up.
